On Feb. 5, at approximately 2pm, members of the Wellington County OPP recieved a report of a possible dog theft from the Guelph Lake Conservation Area.
At about noon, the owner was walking her dogs off leash on the trails at the Guelph Lake Conservation Area. One of her dogs ran ahead of the group and out of sight near the end of the trail at Conservation Road.
By the time the owner and her other dogs reached the road, the dog was nowhere to be found.
The owner observed a black sedan leaving the area at a high rate of speed shortly thereafter.
The dog is an eight year old German Wirehair Pointer and responds to the names "Leo" and "Pisser". Leo wears a brown leather collar with the brass bottoms of shotgun shells attached, as well as a small light for walking at night. The dog is missing a chunk of his left ear.
OPP is asking the public for their assistance in locating this dog.
