Last year, Brenda Lewis and Gayle Ackroyd found a new home for their annual concert of lesser-known Christmas gems and favourites – the Red Brick Cafe – and this year they return for the fifth annual Guelph Christmas Harmonies Concert.
The duo’s sweet and sassy vocal harmonies will take listeners on a journey of holiday cheer through 1960s pop, rock and R&B to more recent country, folk and bluegrass, officials say.
Lewis will perform vocals, percussion and kazoo, while Ackroyd will perform vocals, guitar, ukulele, mandolin and percussion.
Marilyn Alexander will make a guest appearance on vocals.
The performance will take place on Dec. 9 from 7:30 to 9:30pm at the Red Brick Cafe in Guelph.
Tickets are $10 in advance and can be ordered at guelph.snapd.com or $15 (cash only) at the door. A table at the Red Brick Cafe can be reserved in advance by phone at -519-836-1126.
