The GYMC is having a very Charlie Brown concert

What would Christmas be without the much-loved A Charlie Brown Christmas?

The Guelph Youth Music Centre (GYMC) will be presenting this Emmy Award-winning holiday tradition enjoyed by children – both young and old.

Equally magical is the soundtrack created by Vince Guaraldi with the popular   Christmas Time is Here.

“For me, the soundtrack to A Charlie Brown Christmas is essential listening at Christmas time,” said GYMC executive director Gabriella Currie-Ziegler.

“It is music that evokes the season with familiar tunes arranged in a smooth jazz style.”

Adam Bowman will perform on drums, Thomas Hammerton on piano and Tyler Wagler on bass and the album will be performed top to bottom.

They will be joined by The Kingsbury Music Singers directed by Shannon Kingsbury.

Audience members who bring an item of non-perishable food, or make a donation to the food bank will receive a musical Christmas tree ornament.

The concert takes place on Dec. 21 at the Guelph Youth Music Centre in the Recital Hall at 75 Cardigan Street at 7:30pm.

Tickets are $20 for families of four, an adult ticket is $15, a student or senior ticket is $10.

Tickets are available at the GYMC main office, by calling 519-837-1119 or online at squareup.com/store/gymc.
