Centre Wellington Township is hosting another public meeting on Nov. 30 regarding a proposed zoning bylaw and draft plan of subdivision.
The meeting is being held to get public input prior to council’s decision.
The proposed zoning amendment would change the zoning from future development (FD) and environmental protection (EP) to residential (R1C, R3 and R6), open space (OS), commercial (C3) and environmental protection (EP) in order to accommodate the development of a proposed draft plan of subdivision.
The proposed draft plan of subdivision consists of lots and blocks for up to 1,178 single detached, semi-detached and townhouse dwelling units, apartments, commercial/mixed use, parks, stormwater management pond and walkways.
Part of the project also includes the much discussed realignment of Colborne Street between Gerrie Road and the Beatty Line.
