On Nov. 2 at about 4:50pm Wellington County OPP responded to a collision involving a 2013 Mazda 3 and a Ford dump truck on Wellington Road 21 near 4th Line here.
The driver, Amy Stiles, 38, of Fergus, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford dump truck was transported to hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.
A press release from the OPP states that “for unknown reasons the Mazda sedan crossed over the centre line into the path of the dump truck.
“A mechanical inspection of the dump truck was conducted and found no defects. Investigators have also ruled out cell phone usage for either driver as being a factor in this collision.”
No charges are expected to be laid.
