Police are investigating a number of break-ins in across Wellington County.
GUELPH-ERAMOSA – On Sept. 17 at about 4:15am someone broke into a business on Wellington Road 124 here and stole gas cans, a leaf blower and other items.
Police say three people accessed the property in what appeared to be a dark coloured Chevrolet SUV.
The driver was allegedly caught on video exiting the vehicle and stealing three fuel jerry cans, a stop/slow traffic signal paddle and a backpack leaf blower from an unlocked utility trailer.
The suspect is described as a white male, about 30 years old, wearing a dark shirt, Nike shoes and a ball cap.
ERIN – On Sept. 28 at about 3:05am someone broke into the Esso gas station on Main Street through a window and stole trays of lottery tickets and cash.
“Witnesses saw a white pick-up truck with green and orange writing on the side of the truck leave the area heading southbound on Main Street,” police stated.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 20s, clean shaven with a thin build, wearing a light-coloured hoodie, grey or blue jeans and dark running shoes with white soles. He was wearing gloves and holding a hammer in his right hand.
WELLINGTON NORTH – On Sept. 9 at about 2:30am Wellington County OPP officers were dispatched to a residence on the 12th Line here.
Police say three people entered an unlocked shed and stole a chainsaw, a circular saw and two drills valued at about $1,000 in total. They were last seen travelling southbound on Wellington Road 16 driving a pickup truck with a four wheeler in the bed.
Police are looking to identify the three men and return the property to the victim.
