Wellington County OPP officers responded to a collision involving a civilian vehicle and an OPP cruiser here at about 8pm on Oct. 1.
Police say the officer was following another vehicle when it slowed to make a turn.
“The officer was unable to stop the police cruiser and struck the rear of the turning vehicle,” states an OPP press release.
Provincial Constable Scott Anderson, who has served with the Wellington County OPP for two years, received a ticket for following too closely.
Neither driver was injured as a result of the collision, police say, and damage to the vehicles was “minimal.”
