Get Happy coming to Fergus

Get Happy, the greatest Broadway hits from the 1940s to 1960s is coming to Fergus.

Get Happy is on for one night, Oct. 21, at the Fergus Grand Theatre at 8pm.

From the golden age of musical theatre come the favourite songs from beloved productions such as Oklahoma, Singing in the Rain, Guys and Dolls, The Sound of Music, West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, Hair and Funny Girl.

Get Happy is a musical evening of song and drama that brings together some the greatest hits from Broadway history.

The cast will sing in the stylings of Judy Garland, Julie Andrews, Gene Kelly and Andy Williams.

The audience will hear favourites like Oh What a Beautiful Morning, For Me and My Gal, Over the Rainbow, The Hills Are Alive, On the Street Where You Live, Maria and Let the Sunshine.

More than music, Get Happy is a love story. The heartwarming tale of a courageous girl who had nothing and an outrageous boy who thought he had everything.

When their worlds collide, a hilarious montage of magical moments unfolds.

They realize that the world they now share will never be the same and they will be facing some earth-shaking surprises together.

 The award-winning cast includes Heather Christine, Blair Barnsdale, Bruce Tournay, Sean O’Grady and Loralee McGuirl with virtuoso pianist Robert Horvath.
