Heather Rankin is coming to the Fergus Grand Theatre On Oct. 13 at 8pm.
Rankin, is best known as a member of the multi-award winning group, The Rankin Family, who made their mark throughout the 1990s touring the world, selling over a million records and bringing the music of Cape Breton and Nova Scotia to an international audience.
In 2016 Rankin released her debut solo album which sees her forge her own musical legacy with upbeat Rankin-style numbers, soaring ballads, personal and poetic lyrics and bold collaborations.
The album, A Fine Line, received a 2017 Juno Award nomination for Best Adult Contem-porary Album of the Year as well as East Coast Music Award nominations for Folk Recording of the Year and Fan’s Choice Video of the Year.
Opening the show are Canadian folk duo, Greyhound Riders. Writing and performing original folk based music, members Celina DiCecca and Tony Nesbitt-Larking are also part of the Great Canadian Fiddle Show staged earlier this year at the Fergus Grand Theatre to a near capacity crowd.
