Drayton Terry Fox Run organizers are reminding everyone about the event this weekend.
“If you have not picked up your pledge sheets or initiated your online pledge page, there is no better time than now,” states a press release from the local committee.
On Sept. 17, participants are urged to arrive at the Kinsmen Park/Fair Grounds at 12:30pm for registration, a group photo at 1:20pm, and the run, which will begin at 1:30pm.
Among the accompanying events planned are a barbecue, music by the Moore family, treats for youngsters, and face painting.
“(It’s) guaranteed to be a fun day out with family, friends and your community, all while supporting a great cause,” organizers state.
“We are excited to be part of the fight against cancer and look forward to celebrating your accomplishments with you.”
Whether walking, running, biking, volunteering, donating or cheering on those participating, everyone is welcome to participate.
