Tenders for two paving projects in Erin have come in under budget.
Roads superintendent Greg Delfosse said at the July 11 council meeting that by combining the Thompson Crescent and MacMillan Park paving project, the town was able to save money.
Council awarded the contract to Cox Construction Limited for $165,739 plus HST.
Ursul D’Angelo, director of finance, said the two projects had a budget of $190,000.
“Great job Mr. Delfosse,” said Mayor Allan Alls.
The three bids were:
– Cox Construction Limited, $165,739 plus HST;
– Capital Paving Inc, $177,017 plus HST; and
– Steed and Evans Limited, $186,635 plus HST.
