Sixteen members of the Superstars Baton Club competed in Kitchener at the Annual Canadian National Baton Twirling Association (CNBTA) National Championships on July 7 to 9.
Approximately 120 athletes gathered to compete for the Ruby Cup, National Championship titles, Miss Majorette of Canada Pageant and the World Qualification events.
Mackenzie Fraser, 10 of Arthur, received three first place and one second place finishes. She returned home the Beginner National Strut Champion.
Madisyn Gibbard, 14 of Kitchener, received a second place finish and was the Novice National Solo Champion.
Alyssa George, 13 of Fergus, received two second place and three third place finishes.
Jamie Green, 7 of Arthur, received to first place and one second place finishes.
Alexis Herriot, 15 of Arthur, received a second place finish and returned home the Junior Miss Novice Majorette of Canada.
Hayleigh Homer, 14 of Fergus received one first place, and three second place finishes.
Skylar Irwin, 14 of Arthur received one second place and one third place finishes.
Paige Johnston, 9 of Arthur, received three second place finishes and was Juvenile Beginner Solo Champion.
Lyla Kuntz, 8 of Chepstow, received one first place and one third place finishes
Shayla Logel, 12 of Elora received one first place, three second place and three third place finishes.
Abigail Post, 9 of Arthur, returned home the Novice National Solo Champion and the Juvenile Miss Novice Majorette of Canada.
Elsie Post, 11 of Arthur, received a second place finish and was the preteen National Strut, Solo and 2Baton Champion.
Jadyn Worton, 8 of Fergus, received a third place finish.
Makenzie Worton, 15 of Fergus, received a third place finish.
The teams “Bonita” and “Mission Impossible” placed third in their divisions and “Sound of Silence” received second place.
The duet team of George and Worton placed second in their division.
