Another farm severance is being considered in Centre Wellington.
On June 26, council held a public meeting regarding amended zoning of a property at 7015 Second Line.
The amendment would switch the property from agricultural and environmental protection to agricultural exception and environmental protection.
The change would facilitate a surplus farm dwelling severance and restrict residential uses on the retained parcel.
The zoning amendment is a condition of approval of the Wellington County land division committee application.
Managing director of planning and development Brett Salmon said the property is at the corner of Sideroad 20 and Second Line in the former West Garafraxa.
Salmon said the farm dwelling is to be severed off with the rezoning for the remainder of the property.
Mayor Kelly Linton noted council will consider the information when it comes back to council for a decision.
