Elora en Plein Air – a Grand River Painting Festival from May 18 to 21 is a four-day art festival for artists and visitors alike.
The festival includes three days of painting outdoors and an art show and sale with juried awards going to the top three paintings as well as a People’s Choice award.
There are several other categories of prizes as well.
Anyone who has a home, garden or favourite aspect within Centre Wellington can contact the festival if they would welcome some artists to paint on their property.
Festival officials say they like to offer a range of vistas to our registrants and some spots are hidden gems that can be accessed by invitation only.
Those interested can email elorapleinair@gmail.com or call Barb at 519-846-0556
The Elora Centre for the Arts is collaborating with the Elora Arts Council in the plein air festival. The centre will be offering Plein Air program with qualified instructors. This is an opportunity for those who would like to learn more about the art of plein air painting.
