Fiddle show coming to Fergus theatre for 150th celebration

The Great Canadian Fiddle Show is Canada’s kitchen party and will be at the Fergus Grand Theatre on March 16 at 8pm.

Come celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday and St. Patrick’s day with some of the top musicians in Canada, organizers urge.

The Great Canadian Fiddle Show preserves and celebrates Canada’s rich musical heritage through traditional fiddling and step dancing.

Visiting the breadth of Canada’s diverse regional styles, the show captivates audiences with energy and mastery, officials state.

Featured performers include: Shane Cook, Celina DiCecca, Alanna Jenish, Colleen Jenish and Tony Nesbitt-Larking.

“Get ready to dance in the aisles with The Great Canadian Fiddle Show leading the celebrations.”

Tickets are $25 and $15 for students and can be bought at the Fergus Grand Theatre box office, by calling 519-787-1981 or online at www.fergusgrandtheatre.ca.

A fiddle workshop will also be offered.
