Junior Farmers hosting New Members Night on Jan. 26

Wellington Junior Farmers are geared up for a busy and exciting year ahead.

On Jan. 8, the group elected a our new executive at a meeting in Drayton: president Katherine Clyne, vice-president Aimee Dadd, secretary Jackie Shaw, treasurer Sarah Lennox, provincial director Elbert Bouwman, assistant provincial director Victoria McClure, communications directors Kelsey Banks and Jackie Shaw, events coordinators Kelsey Banks, Victoria McClure and Taylor Hodgins, Wellington Federation of Agriculture representative Stan Lennox.

The Junior Farmers have many events planned for this year, including their annual spaghetti dinner in April.

To kick off the year they are having a New Members Night – Meet and Greet on Jan. 26 at 6:30pm at the Alma Community Hall. All individuals age 15 to 29 are invited to join the group for a snack and to hear  speakers on topics such as: challenges and successes of being a young farmer, networking and opportunities through Junior Farmers.
