CWDHS students make $150 count

Make 150 Count. That is what RBC is telling students awarded $150 from the bank to spend on something to benefit their community.

Centre Wellington District High School students submitted a funding application describing how they could spend $150 to make the community better.

Their application, part of a community leadership initiative, won for this area.

The students decided to purchase materials to make 100 cuddly bears to give to the residents of the Wellington Terrace Long-Term Care Home in Aboyne. They presented the bears on Dec. 23, providing some seasonal cheer for residents.

RBC is offering the program to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday in 2017.
