One horse died and another received minor injuries after being hit by a truck near Wallenstein on Nov. 8.
At about 5:20pm, Wellington County OPP officers were called to a collision on Wellington Road 86, east of Yatton Sideroad.
“A runaway plow being pulled by four horses left a laneway and crossed the road [and was] struck by an empty tanker truck,” police stated in a press release.
“One horse died and another suffered minor injuries. There was extensive damage to the truck and a passing vehicle received minor damage from debris on the road.”
Police say there will be no charges as a result of the incident.
