Guitar Summit Concert returns to Elora Centre for the Arts

Acoustic guitaris Tony McManus will be joined by guitarist Chris Newman and celtic harpist Máire Ní Chathasaigh for the 10th anniversary Guitar Summit Concert.

The Nov. 4 concert at the Elora Centre for the Arts coincides with McManus’s 10 years of hosting his annual Elora guitar workshop weekend.  

Newman known worldwide for his dazzling, flawless guitar playing and the versatility of his musicianship, organizers state.

Over his career Newman has played everything from swing Jazz to pop but is now more known for playing Celtic music with his partner Chathasaigh.

She is the world’s leading exponent of celtic harp and the combination of guitar and harp has brought both these musicians worldwide acclaim, organizers say.

In addition to the sold out guitar workshop running at the Drew House, Newman  will be running a multi level Irish harp workshop on Nov. 5 from 11am to 4pm at The Elora Centre for the Arts.

The concert will take place at 8pm on Nov. 4 at the Elora Centre for the Arts.

Advanced tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for youth.

A bar will available as a fundraiser for the Arts Centre.
