GRAIN AND DAIRY FARM MANAGEMENT PROGRAMS
Now in its fifth year, this year’s dairy program is being promoted by the Progressive Dairy Operators and the grain farm program is offered in partnership with Grain Farmers of Ontario.
Who should apply?
This program is ideal for individual operators, business partners and intergenerational partners who will benefit by building the vision and strategy for the farm collaborately. Grain farmers are ideally those farms who have a significant portion of their business derived from the grain side of their operation. Farms with grain as well as livestock and other business ventures will find this course relevant.
What will you learn?
– Understand what goes into an effective management action plan and how to build one;
– learn to assess and manage risk in your operation;
– learn to think strategically about your business and the future of your operation;
– find out how business structure impacts your farm business;
– improve your understanding of financial statements and taxation; and
– develop a scorecard to monitor and track your farm’s financial performance.
All sessions will be held at Elmhurst Inn in Ingersoll. Visit the website to register for dairy or grain session at advancedfarmmanagement.ca.
