Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Guelph Fire Department responded to a report of a fully-engulfed structure fire at vacant barn on Fife Road near Whitelaw Road in Guelph-Eramosa Township around 4am on Dec. 5.
The barn was destroyed and the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
The Wellington County OPP Crime Unit along with officers from the Forensic Identification Services Unit (FISU) continues to investigate.
Investigators from the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal were notified and will be attending.

OPP are asking that residents keep an eye on their properties, lock-up out buildings, vehicles, etc. and if they see any suspicious persons or activities – especially at night or in the early morning hours – call police immediately.
