A must-see this spring is the Eden Mills Arts Festival on May 28 and 29 from 11am to 5pm and admission is free.
Eden Mills is just 12 minutes from Guelph and home of the Eden Mills Writer’s Festival.
Visitors can experience the art festival’s unique variety of visual arts: fine art, fiber art, jewellery, photography, and ceramics.
One artist is interactive inviting participants to join in. The outdoor streetscape offers a chance to stroll down the Main Street, shop and talk to accomplished artists.
The café in the community hall will provide a wonderful, homemade lunch and visitors are encouraged to sit in the artist’s green, relax and enjoy the music and dance performances.
Artist venues include studios, historic buildings, Rivermead and the Mill, the community hall and tents and are all shown on mapped out in a brochure.
Well known visual artist Jim Reed, exhibiting in Rivermead said, “Rivermead is a rehabilitated historic structure, among many in this village of serenity, which proudly displays a variety of paintings and sculpture.”
The festival provides a “significant social element for the artists which is mutually supportive and inspirational through sharing,” he said.
