The Celts Band presents The Real St. Patrick on March 17

The Real St. Patrick presented by The Celts band in concert will be performed at the Cambridge Galt Little Theatre on March 17 from 8 to 10pm.  

The Real St. Patrick, written, produced and arranged by Eugene Rea is a two-hour musical, visual and dance show which brings the audience through the life and influences of St. Patrick with songs, humour and spectacle.

The show features over 500 images of Ireland, from coastlines to castles, while the Celts provide the musical underpinning to the story, with songs, instrumental sets, house-party sessions (ceilis) and high-energy dances.

 Travel back to Ireland with to celebrate ancient history. The journey begins from the first skirl of the pipes leading the audience in, and ends in the New World with “Paddy’s Day’ songs and humour.

The band called The Celts featuring: Anne Lederman on fiddle, Paul Gribbon on uilleann pipes and whistles, Tom Leighton on accordion and keyboards, Nonie Thompson (formerly Crete) on vocals, guitar and harmonica, Eugene Rea on banjo, bouzouki, mandolin, guitar, whistles and vocals.

Daniel Carr, a world champion highland dancer and bagpipe player is also part of the band.

John Fahy host of CFRU’s Clan na Gael will act as narrator.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for youth under 18 when accompanied by an adult.
