The Elora Festival Singers will once again be joining forces with the Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal on April 17 for Choral Banquet at Saint-Pierre-Apôtre Church in Montreal.
Elora Festival Singers’ inaugural Open Road campaign to New York’s Carnegie Hall in March 2015 was a tremendous success – a remarkable achievement only made possible by the overwhelming enthusiasm and generous patron support, officials state.
Under the umbrella of Open Road, and as part of the new Community Initiatives Program, the Elora Festival Singers will be launching an outreach project at Wellington Terrace – a not-for-profit, state-of-the-art long-term care facility located between Elora and Fergus.
This new partnership is focused on enriching the lives of residents coping with dementia through the joy and richness of choral music, officials state.
The combined fundraising goal for Montreal and the group’s Community Initiatives Program is $25,000.
Donations will be gratefully received and a tax receipt provided.
