The Minto Arts Council is sponsoring its second juried art exhibition from May 5 to June 3 at the Minto Art Gallery in the Harriston Library.
The exhibition is open to all artists living in Ontario.
Two- or three-dimensional, installation and new media works completed within the last five years will be accepted.
The exhibition is juried by three exceptional artists, officials state.
Andrea Bird is a notable mixed-media encaustic artist and teacher.
Bird co-runs an encaustic art school and gallery, the ‘hive’ at the Alton Mill Art Centre with her artist husband, Daniel Beirne.
Dot (Currie) Cork is a fine arts graduate whose ‘east coast’ art is delightfully colourful and whimsical. When not in Cape Breton, she teaches art in Mount Forest.
Brian Dalton is a well-known Canadian fine artist with his works widely sold and coveted.
The entry deadline is April 1. Successful artists will be notified of the jury’s decision by April 14.
