Celebrity baking and pastry expert and chef superstar Anna Olson will be appearing at JL’s Home Hardware at 575 Wellington Street West on Oct. 21 from 6:30 to 9pm .
Tickets are being sold for $5 at both JL’s Home Hardware Guelph locations.
Olson has created a menu of delicious recipes to help inspire guests attending Ladies Night with great ideas and recipes for her seasonal sensations. Olson’s passion for food took her to hosting a national cooking show Fresh with Anna Olson, on Food Network Canada.
Olson is also the best-selling author of six cookbooks. She will be cooking nonstop for 2 and a half hours with a speech being given at 7:30pm. Olson’s sous chef will be event MC Lisa Richards who is the popular morning show host of Magic 106.1 radio. The event will be in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
To help build awareness and raising money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, JL’s Home Hardware Building Centre is selling Pink Flamingos in Guelph. Guelph residents and businesses are invited to “Get creative for the cause” by using their imagination to decorate a pink flamingo.
On Oct. 19 at 3pm, Patti Broughton the executive director from the Guelph Arts Council will be judging all the flamingo submissions to find the most creative. Guelph businesses and individuals bought up over 270-flamingos to dress up.
All submissions will be judged and a prize awarded to the winner. You can still bag a bird for $25 to help support the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
