The ninth annual fall Wellington Rural Romp is set for Sept. 26 and will provide participants with a great day full of fun harvest activities.
From visiting apple orchards to tasting pumpkin pies; from farm tours to buggy rides and from live music to kids activities, the Rural Romp will keep feet moving, stomachs full and tables overflowing with farm fresh food.
Feeding farm animals, trying food samples and strolling through gardens and along farm trails, are just some of the activities rompers can expect.
“On the Rural Romp, you’ll get to meet the people who grow your food, you’ll hear their stories and see first-hand where your food comes from,” says Christina Mann, Taste Real Coordinator.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to look behind the scenes, ask questions and get to know our local farms and food businesses while enjoying the beauty of the countryside and the bounty of the local harvest”.
Food equals culture
The Fall Wellington Rural Romp locations are also official stops on the Centre Wellington and Guelph Culture Days Event, making it easy to check off a Culture Days passport location and Romp stop all at once.
