Sensational Elora presents the second event in its jazz series at Elora Centre for the Arts on May 29.
The Minaraovich Gallery will be transformed into a licensed jazz club for the evening, presenting internationally-acclaimed jazz vocalist Carol McCartney.
McCartney will be backed by the musicians from her 2014 album Be Cool: Brian Dickinson on keyboards, Kieran Overs on bass, Chris Robinson on sax and Canada’s leading studio drummer, Terry Clarke, with special guest Alan Ralston, on trumpet and flugelhorn.
“These veteran musicians have been playing with Carol for a couple years now, recording Be Cool and touring. They are at the top of their game. The fusion of vocals and instruments is magical,” said Kirk McElwain, chair of Sensational Elora.
Tickets for the event are $20, on sale in Elora at Shepherd’s Pub, Santé Natural Foods and Box Social or online at sensationalelora.com. Doors open at 7:00pm, showtime is 8:00pm.
