Kortright Hills Neighbourhood Group (KHNG) is holding the Fifth Annual Plant Swap, Le Leche Guelph is holding a Treasure Sale and Larry Peterson, a community member, is to launch his new book When is a ‘flower’ not a flower? And other intriguing questions about plants on May 23.
The events will take place at Kortright Hills Public School (KHPS) at 23 Ptarmigan Dr. in Guelph between 9am and 2pm.
Event highlights include:
KHNG Annual Plant Swap
Drop plants off at the KHNG Community Room (side entrance of KHPS) May 20 between 5 and 7pm; May 21 between 3:30 and 5:30pm or May 23 at 8am. Ensure that all plants are labeled so they’re ready to swap with community neighbours. Donors can return between 9am and 2pm on May 23 to pick up a new plant for their gardens.
“Plant swapping is easy, saves time and money and is great for the environment,” organizers stated in a press release. “Donate a plant – receive a plant.”

A charity fundraiser “Toys and Treasures Sale” will be held on May 23 from 10am to 2pm in the gym of KHPS.
