KidsAbility will be hosting its annual Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon at Conestoga Mall on May 1.
However, this year will be special. After all, it has been on the air for 10 years.
As Lisa Talbot, executive director of KidsAbility Foundation, notes, “The success of the Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon can be attributed to the support of the community.
“Local individuals and organizations have come out in force, ensuring that children and youth with special needs have the chance for a brighter future.
“To date, vital donations have supported the purchase of essential equipment, the hiring of specialized therapists, the creation of new programs and the reduction of wait times.”
Last year, KidsAbility helped over 5,800 children and youths with special needs.
However, there are still 900 children on a waiting list. As a result, the importance of giving cannot be underestimated.
As CHYM 96.7 host Adele explains, “One of my favorite things about working at CHYM is being able to help KidsAbility raise money and spread the great News about all the amazing things they do. Our community benefits so much from the love and support of KidsAbility. We are truly blessed to be a part of such an amazing day.”
On May 1, CHYM 96.7, Country 106.7, 570 News and Daytime TV will be broadcasting inspiring stories of hope.
For individuals listening, they will have the opportunity to tune in, drop by, donate and make a difference in the lives of children and youth with special needs.
