Police located a missing teen earlier this week after what was likely a harrowing 12 hours for his family.
On April 13 at around 12:52pm Wellington County OPP received a call regarding Austin Whalen, a 17-year-old male reported missing from a home on the 1st Line near Sideroad 27 in Erin. He was last seen at approximately 11:52am that day.
Police said Whalen suffers from health issues, which “created concern for his safety and well-being.”
“Possible destinations include the Tim Hortons in Fergus or the Fergus library,” police said in a press release.
On April 14, police said Whalen was located “safe and in good health” shortly before midnight on April 13 by the police in a neighbouring jurisdiction.
