The Ontario Little Miss Mid West Princess Pageant covers the counties of WelIington, Huron, Perth, Grey and Bruce. Organizers are looking for a title holder to accompany the reigning Ontario Miss Mid West Queen throughout her year.
Girls between the ages of eight and 12 who live within the five counties are encouraged to apply to participate in the pageant on July 11 at the Walkerton Community Center. Contestants must be attending school or home schooled and sponsored by an organization, business or company. The contestant does not have to be carrying a title to enter, but is permitted to enter if she already holds a title.
“Our goal is to give the opportunity to help the individual promote their commitment to education, career and involvement within the community. While we take part in many functions the title holders will be asked to speak to the public in many events they attend,” organizers state.
“We do not believe in the word beauty, but we do believe in inner beauty.” organizers state in a press release.
The Little Miss contestants will be iudged on, interviews based on their application, formal wear and on-stage impromptu questions.
