The River Run Centre and the Guelph Youth Council of the City of Guelph have teamed up – with the support of TD Canada Trust – to offer MusicWorks, StageWorks – a hands-on mentorship program focused on the art of putting on a professional-style show.
All youth, ages 13 to 19, interested in gaining new skills and taking part in a performance are invited to apply.
The mentorship program offers aspiring performers real life experience in concept development, production and stage presence. The program is inclusive of music, spoken word, dance and comedy.
Applications are being accepted by the Guelph Youth Council. Anyone interested in applying should visit MusicWorks, StageWorks for details and an application form, or contact jenn.bucci@guelph.ca.
The application deadline is March 1 and rehearsals are scheduled in mid-April for two weeks. The program will culminate in public performances in the first week of May.
