The Century Theatre Guild will be holding auditions for The Fox on the Fairway, a new farce by Ken Ludwig, on Jan. 3 at 10am at Century Church Theatre in Hillsburgh.
The author of the comedy hits Lend Me a Tenor and Moon over Buffalo has come up with another sure-fire winner, which he describes as written in homage to the great English farce tradition.
It is a hilarious and energetic romp which debunks the stuffy denizens of a private country-club not far from Hillsburgh. It’s a charmingly madcap adventure about romance, life and our eternal love affair with golf. Director Jo Phenix promises plenty of action, and great fun for actors and audience alike.
Show dates are May 29 to June 7 and rehearsals will start in April. The play requires one young couple, aged 20 to 35, and two older couples, 45 to 65. Audition scripts are available on request at jophenix@sympatico.ca.
