It’s “chili” at the arena this weekend, with East Wellington Community Services hosting Chili Fest at Centre 2000 on Nov. 22.
EWCS hopes to warm hockey players and spectators up with a bowl of homemade chili served with a fresh bakery bun.
For $5, one can enjoy a bowl of chili and bun.
Chili Fest runs from 11:30am to 2pm and 5 to 7:30pm (or until the chili lasts) in support of the United Way.
Watch local hockey teams all day, then watch the Erin Shamrocks go up against Fergus. The Shamrocks will donate a portion of the admission to the United Way.
Organizers hope to raise over $1,000 in support of United Way Guelph Wellington Dufferin.
It is more important than ever to help the United Way to reach and exceed its fundraising goal of $3.5 million to continue to fund over 85 local programs.
