The Township of Wellington North has redesigned the Municipal website at www.wellington-north.com to act as an information hub and communications tool, creating an accessible resource for ease of use by the public and municipal staff to attract new residents, businesses and visitors, while continuing to serve current resident’s needs.
OSIM Interactive, of Harriston, was contracted to implement the new design, that features a new homepage offering quick links, announcements, an events calendar, current weather conditions and direct access to government, business, living and visiting content. The website also uses Responsive Web Design (RWD) to ensures it is optimized for mobiles, tablets and desktop computers of any screen size and resolution. The new site has also partnered with Wellington North’s Cultural Mapping website, giving visitors and resident’s easy access and information on cultural and heritage assets throughout Wellington North.
“The primary objective was to create a new Township of Wellington North website, that reflects Wellington North in an individual manner,” said township CAO Michael Givens. “We worked with the township’s management team for information and input, enabling the website to showcase the township’s municipal governance, community at large, and present the Township as an economic driver in the region.”
The new Township of Wellington North website will also provide social media integration and direct links to the Township of Wellington North featuring the Butter Tart Trail Facebook and Twitter pages, where events and promotion updates appear on a regular basis.
“We are very proud of the new website – and we hope it provides a useful, informative portal for our residents and visitors to get to know the Township of Wellington North better.”
