The 142nd fall fair here is all set to get underway Sept. 19 to 21 with a full schedule of activities showcasing this year’s theme, “A Taste of Autumn.”
Sept. 19
The exhibits will be open for viewing in the hall starting at 6:30pm and the fun gets underway at 7:30.
Presentations will be made by Jim Irvine, the master of ceremonies, and the ambassador competition will take place.
The midway will be open from 5 to 10pm with a special “pay one price” ride offer at $30 per person.
There will also be a Demo Cross at 7pm and a beer tent available on site.
Sept. 20
Have fun on the midway all day with doors opening at 9am.
The parade of floats will make its way downtown at 11, followed by a variety of exciting events afterward, including: a dairy heifer show, lawn tractor race, farmer Olympics, sheep show, horseshoe pitching, and a demolition derby at 2pm.
The fall fair dance will be held that evening from 9pm to 1am at the community centre with a cash bar and lunch provided. Tickets for the dance are $10 per person.
Sept. 21
Sunday is family day with a full slate of activities to put a smile on everyone’s face.
Face painting is available starting at 11am, followed by a straw bale surprise, tractor and truck pulls, kiddie pedal tractor show, pet show and heavy horse show.
