It’s going to be an action-packed weekend at the Aberfoyle Fall Fair on Sept. 5 and 6.
On Friday, admission is $7 for adults, $1 for ages 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under.
Along with the midway and concessions, the local and area antique tractor pull begins at 7pm.
Fair day
On Saturday, admission is $10 for adults, $2 for ages 6 to 12, and free for those 5 and under. Both days offer free parking.
Saturday fair attractions
At 9:30am the children races begin – rain or shine.
At 10am, the fair market place opens, followed by the Giant Pumpkin Contest (Ball Diamond) at 10:30am.
At 11am, the Relay Race begins at the ball diamond with a calf show elsewhere onthe grounds.
Live entertainment begins on the patio at 11:30am, while the noon hour marks the pet show in the ball diamond.
A Birds of Prey Flight Show will be happening at the ball diamond grass area at 12:30pm, while the Loonie in the Straw Contest takes place at the ball diamond at 1pm.
Don’t forget to register the youngsters for the Junior Tractor pedal pull at 2pm. A heavy horse show will also be happening – but is not a competition.
Later on, at 3:30pm expect more fun and excitement with bale throwing, nail hammering and log sawing contests at the ball diamond.
Most of the day wraps up around 4:30pm as the buildings close to the public with participants collecting their entries between 4:45 and 5pm.
Saturday night event
The Puslinch Hall comes to life at 8pm with a Puslinch Country Squires Dance.
Advance admission is $12.50 while the cost at the door is $15.
