On July 26 approximately 85 hot rods (and a vintage bus) will roar into town at about 12:15.
They will be parking at the Fergus Marketplace on the River – all are welcome to check out these gorgeous cars.
“We are thrilled that the Canadian Hot Rod Tour has chosen downtown Fergus as a stop on its annual tour,” stated Fergus BIA chair Jackie Fraser.
“It’s a great opportunity for car enthusiasts and families to spend some time downtown to see some spectacular cars.”
Frank Colgoni, Canadian Hot Rod Tour organizer, stated, “We were impressed with the beauty of downtown Fergus and the terrific selection of restaurants. There will be about 200 tour participants and they are looking forward to visiting and exploring Fergus.”
The Fergus BIA is promoting the event through social and local media – and officials hope this in turn brings the curious to downtown.
The hot rodders will leave Fergus to continue their tour at about 2:30pm.
The event is part of a cruise through Wellington, Waterloo, Brant and Norfolk Counties.
On Friday hot rodders will be at the Aberfoyle A&W at 1:45pm before heading north to arrive at the A&W on Woodlawn Road in Guelph at 6:30pm.
On Saturday, participants will be at the Fergus Marketplace at 12:15pm before heading north for a stop at the Mount Forest A&W at 3pm.
