On May 24 the Damascus 4-H Grow Your Own club met at the home of Ken and Barb Leslie.
The meeting started off with a roll call. The group shared where they planted the trees they got at the last meeting and discussed how the trees were growing.
Afterwards they came up with a name for the club. They all agreed to call themselves the Growth Spurts. Now that they had a great new name they were ready to go take a look around Ken and Barb’s house to see how the trees they planted at the last meeting were doing. Once they made sure everything was growing well they came up with a plan for Ken and Barb’s vegetable garden.
After that they had a guest speaker named Laura. She came and taught them how to properly make a planter. They finished off the meeting by having fun planting planters for Ken and Barb.
