The 2014 Hillside Festival line-up has already been updated and there will be more exciting performers coming on board.
The 31st annual event will take place July 25 to 27 on Guelph Lake Island and now a performance by Mounties has been added to the Sunday evening schedule.
Mounties is a British Columbia/Ontario hybrid supergroup featuring six-time Juno award nominee (and two-time winner) Hawksley Workman, Hot Hot Heat frontman Steve Bays, and Ryan Dahle of Limblifter and Age of Electric fame.
After a chance encounter in 2009, Mounties began working together and three years later released a hit single called Headphones in 2013.
This past March, Mounties’ debut album Thrash Rock Legacy, was released and the band has already earned strong accolades for their live shows, which have been selling out venues across Canada.
In other News, unfortunately Toronto’s Dilly Dally have been forced to cancel their appearance at this summer’s festival and apologize to fans who hoped to see them.
Also of note, Hillside favourite Matt Andersen, will bring his latest album Weightless to life, backed up by a band billed: Matt Andersen & The Mellotones.
Stephen Fearing and Andy White are also performing under the moniker Fearing & White.
