Agnes of God opens at GLT March 28

Director Gerry Butts returns to Guelph Little Theatre after his much lauded success with award-winning Picasso at the Lapin Agile in 2012.

While that show compared and contrasted the themes of science and art, this year he brings the audience a religious drama, Agnes of God, which brings to light the stark contrasts of religion and psychiatry in the late 1970s.

Agnes of God is also a feature film, that was shot in Rockwood in 1985, starring Jane Fonda, Anne Bancroft and Meg Tilly.

The show opens on March 28 and runs Thursday to Sunday through to April 12. Tickets are available at http://www.guelphlittletheatre.com.

The GLT production features Melissa Jakl in the title role, Sara Harknett-Dunbar comes to the part of Mother Superior and Christy Ziss plays  the doctor.
