Local builder recognized

Sloot Construction, based in the Guelph area, won the Building Innovation Award in recognition of technical excellence while implementing high performance building practices, at the 14th Annual Awards of Excellence Gala on Feb. 27, at the Hilton Hotel Niagara Falls.

The ability to innovate continues to be a key factor that separates the best from the rest in the residential construction industry, as leaders in the residential building, renovation, and construction industry were recognized for their achievements.

“The future of development, home building and renovations is being written by the innovators,” says Corey McBurney, President, EnerQuality. “The awards recognize the leaders in our industry who have embraced quality and sustainability as core values.”

EnerQuality’s Awards of Excellence draw attention to the “best of the best” who are making low-energy, low-water and low-waste housing the norm. Selected by an awards jury of industry professionals, winners were presented with hand crafted crystal awards at a sparkling Awards Gala, which took place during the Ontario Home Builders’ Association/EnerQuality Builder and Renovator Forum.
