The team at Dynafit in Drayton is ready to help you achieve your fitness goals for 2014 and beyond.
Keeping healthy is a huge priority for the staff at Dynafit and providing opportunities for others to stay fit is equally important for owner/operators Chris Kurz and Joe Heenan.
Often, people have the desire to become fit, but don’t know where to start, and that’s where the team at Dynafit steps in. Both owners have a lifelong passion for personal fitness. Heenan is a familiar face in Drayton, along with staff members Mari-Anne Tinholt and Hilary Reibeling. These two ladies bring friendly smiles and a great work ethic. They are always willing to help with any questions and concerns. This team offers years of experience in the fitness industry and is excited about the personal achievements its clients have attained since the Drayton location opened in 2011.
As the fitness industry evolves, it is becoming quite evident nutrition plays a huge role in attaining results, improving health and looking great. With a newly-established Nutrition Coaching Program, Dynafit is able to give clients what they need to achieve results. Heenan, a graduate of the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, is also a certified nutritionist. Whether the goal is to lose weight, tone up, or just feel better, nutrition is absolutely critical to achieving the desired goal. With so much information on television and the internet, people often become very overwhelmed and try to do everything all at once. This often leads to short term success and ultimately, failure. Dynafit takes pride in educating people on how to eat and exercise (and enjoy it) and making it a part of their ongoing lifestyle.
Personal training has proven to be a very effective way to accelerate results at Dynafit. Having an expert educate clients throughout their workout, help them progress as needed, and challenge and hold them accountable provides the key to success. Dynafit offers private one-on-one training as well as small group training. The group training is a great way to work out with friends and get the results from personal training at a fraction of the price, the owners note.
Giving Drayton a location to “keep fit” at a reasonable price is a priority of Dynafit and they continue to sell gym memberships for as little as $31/month. There are no initiation fees or hidden costs and 24 hour access is also included in the price of the membership.
An integral part of Mapleton Township, Dynafit sponsors the local Terry Fox run, the MS Ride, and Relay for Life. Dynafit also proudly ran the power skating program for Drayton Minor Hockey in 2012 and 2013. Dynafit staff believe that being active at a young age, learning basic training strategies and having fun while doing it can keep clients active in years to come.
“A healthy community is a happy community. We want to educate everyone on how easy and enjoyable it can be to get, stay and be fit,” says Heenan.
Dynafit is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to members.
Their staffed hours are Monday to Thursday 4 to 8pm and Saturday 9am to 12pm. If these hours don’t suit, the staff is also available by appointment. Set this up by calling 519-638-2100 or emailing jheenan@dynafitexercise.com.
