The Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce has held its Awards of Excellence for more than 10 years.
This year the theme is Centre Wellington – Highlighting the Grand – invoking the theme of lights (on the Grand River) and the light the nominees share.
These awards are open to businesses, individuals, organizations, etc., who live or work within Centre Wellington. The nominee does not have to be a chamber member.
Also, the community is celebrated with a number of awards for groups and individuals.
Nominees must be a resident of Centre Wellington who have:
– recently moved here and made a huge impact; or
– have been here for generations and just quietly worked in the background.
The process is quite easy to do. Think about a group, organization or individual who deserves to be nominated, then visit www.cwchamber.ca and click on Events, Awards of Excellence Nominations.
To nominate a business, individual or organization in the following categories:
– Agriculture/Agri-Business;
– Business Beautification;
– Business or Home Based Business (under 15 employees);
– Business of the Year (15 or more employees);
– Community Award of Merit;
– Cultural;
– Arts;
– Tourism Impact Award;
– Environmental Excellence;
– Skilled Trades; or
– Youth Entrepreneur.
Complete the Award Nomination Cover Page giving pertinent contact information of the nominee and the nominator.
While it is wonderful to be nominated by someone else, these categories may be self-nominated, so remember to recognize a personal business if it meets the qualifications.
For those suggesting a nominee, the deadline is Feb. 7, 2014 at 4pm at the chamber office.
For those submitting a fully completed Nomination, the deadline is March 7, 2014 at 4pm at the chamber office.
