On Sept. 5, Wellington County OPP learned the speed radar sign that was placed on Wellington Road 44 here had been vandalized.
The sign is used throughout the county to capture the speeds of motor vehicles in areas where speed is an issue. The sign had been secured to a sign post and the locking mechanism was damaged. Unknown person(s) pushed the sign down into a ravine. Minimal damage occurred.
