Over 300 county residents showed their support on Sept. 15 and joined thousands of other supporters throughout Ontario that took part in the annual Terry Fox Run.
Supporters helped raise over $44, 000 for cancer research this year, adding to the $600 million or so, that has already been raised over the last thirty-three years.
Although numbers are yet to be finalized, organizers say the following locations raised the estimated amounts:

Arthur – raised $1,200, 30 participants
Drayton – raised $21,000, 163 participants
Erin – raised $8,700, 114 participants
Fergus – raised close to $10,000, participants unknown by press time
Mount Forest – raised $5,000, 40 participants
Palmerston – raised $6,891, 111 participants
Rockwood – raised $9,490, 38 participants
