The Grand opening of the Clifford Rotary Park will take place on Sept. 7.
The Rotary Club will be operating a food booth, beginning at 12:30pm. Opening ceremonies include a ribbon cutting at 1pm by Mayor George Bridge and Minto council to open the new ball diamond, soccer pitch and walking trails. After the ceremony, there will be a mini carnival for children and a chance to walk a portion of the trail. All proceeds will be used to offset the costs of new public washrooms at the pavilion.
Minto spent $141,000 reconstructing the diamond and soccer pitch and the town received a total of $54,450 in federal and provincial funding.
