Groves volunteers provide bursaries

For the past 50 years, the Groves Hospital Volunteer Association has awarded bursaries to selected students entering health-related courses at the post-secondary level. The $2,000 bursaries are paid in equal increments over a two-year period.

This year, two successful candidates are graduates of Centre Wellington District High School and the third is a graduate of St. James High School in Guelph.

Jocelyn Abraham (CWDHS) will be studying nursing at Laurentian University.

Sierra Cheng (CWDHS) will be studying biochemistry at the University of Waterloo.

Christopher Pietras (St. James) will be attending Brock University for the Bachelor of Science Honours program.

“The volunteer association wishes these students great success in their chosen fields,” organization officials state.
