The Township of Wellington North has announced that a farmers’ market will be at both the Arthur and Mount Forest Fall Fairs this year.
“The Arthur Agricultural Society and the Mount Forest Agricultural Society are partnering, in association with Wellington North, to incorporate a farmers’ market to the fair itineraries,” said April Marshall township tourism, marketing and promotion manager.
The Mount Forest Agricultural Society is celebrating its 154th Annual Fall Fair and will host the farmers’ market on Sept. 1.
The Arthur Agricultural Society is celebrating it 157th Annual Fall Fair and will host the farmers’ market on Sept. 8.
Both markets will run from 10am to 4pm.
“A farmers’ market is a good opportunity for both communities to work together. It also adds to each fairs’ line-up of activities and will help to grow attendance by drawing more visitors from Wellington North and beyond,” Marshall said.
“We are pleased that the confirmed participating vendors are Wellington North producers, making it truly local.”
The Mount Forest Fall Fair runs from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2 at the Mount Forest Fairgrounds.
The Arthur Fall Fair runs from Sept. 5 to Sept. 8 at the Arthur Fairgrounds.
